Sentiments

Hi Everyone,

Sentiments are one thing I do not have a lot of.

In the past I have always put the sentiment on the inside of the card, not the front.

I am slowing getting used adding a sentiment on the front of a card.

It is hard to change a habit, but it is an exciting challenge for me.

A new challenge has started over at the Totally Gorjuss Challenge Blog.

The theme this week is 'Sentiment as main focus'.

Happy Birthday

Hi Everyone,

Today I would love to share a simple card I have made using Washi Tape and a Die.

I have been looking on pinterest and there is always so much inspiration on there.

However I do find that I love a card and think that I will try and recreate it, however it never seems to turn out the same.

I suppose it is good to have the idea and use it as a base for your creation.

Friendship

Hi Everyone,

I have been using my Washi tape again lately.

I love using the tape as a background.

I received a present yesterday from my eldest son.  It was a scrapbook from his time in Year 3 and it was wrapped in a piece of paper covered in Washi.  I thought it was a great idea.

My card below is another quick and simple card.

Today I thought I would share a card using Washi tape.

I saw a similar design on facebook and thought 'I can do that with Washi'.

I loved it and had to give it a try.  It is totally different to what I usually do.

Dragon Wishes

I am absolutely loving playing with my washi tape.  It is becoming an obsession, lol.

I saw the design of this card on Pinterest and just had to give it a go.

Memories

Hi Everyone,

It is when you lose someone special in your life that a part of you goes too.

Today is the day 23 years ago that I lost my dad.

Not a day goes by that I don't think of him and wish he was still here.

Still here to talk to, to hug and to see his grandkids.

A dear friend of mine lost here Nana just over a week ago.

Even though this wonderful lady lived a great life to the age of 92, it still leaves a great hole in the hearts of the people left behind.

I made this card for her my friend just to let her know that I am thinking of her.

Don't forget to tell family and friends that you love them, because yesterday is gone, today's almost over, and tomorrow isn't promised ......

Washi Washi Washi

Hi Everyone

I don't have a card to share with you today.  Instead I want to share my new Washi Tape holder.

My wonderful hubby made it for me and since putting it into place on my craft desk I have been using the tape as it can now be seen and easily accessed.

Here it is:

I found that the tapes are distorted on the rolls so I decided to make a 'Washi Swatch' so I could see them better.

I placed as strip of washi on  white card.

Well I am off to create and hopefully use more of these wonderful washi tapes.
