Balloon Ride with Chibitronic LED Stickers

 Hi Everyone,

For today's card I have used LED Stickers and Fabric tape from Chibitronics to light up the Hot Air Balloons from Paperie Ink.

Ingredients

Stamp Set:  Balloon Ride

Medium:  Copic Markers

Sentiment:  Included in stamp set

Electronics:  Chibitronics White LED Stickers, Chibitronics Fabric Tape & 2025 Battery

Background:  Distress Ink (Salty Ocean & Blue Print Sketch) Catherine Pooler Ink (Lime Rickety)

Card Stock:  X-Press It Blending Card

Ink:  MFT Extreme Black Ink

Other:  White Gelly Roll 08 Pen

Method

1. Background

Firstly, I stamped the images onto X-Press It Blending Card and coloured them with Copic Markers.  I fussy cut around the images leaving a small white border.

I also created the background using Distress and Catherine Pooler Ink

2. Battery Holder

This card will measure 9.5 x 20cm once complete.

I have used the Silhouette Cameo to cut the layers for the battery holder.  I glued 8 of these together.

I have glued them together using Liquid Glue from Bearly Arts.  If find this glue does not warp the card and makes it really strong.

I put plain card stock on the back of this card to finish this card.

3. Circuit

The circuit has been designed on the battery holder.

I have marked where the lights will go (from the card front).  I then mapped where I want the circuit to go in pencil.  this makes it easier for me to complete the circuit.

4.  Completing the Circuit

The Circuit has been complete using the Fabric Conductive Tape and LED Stickers.

This card works by pressing the 'press here'  The positive will connect with the battery, turning on the lights.

5. Adhere the card front

It is time to adhere the card front I prepared earlier to the battery compartment.

I have used double sided tape to do this.

The coloured images have been adhered using foam tape.

6. Let's light this card up!

This circuit uses a 2025 battery to power this card.

To light this card card up, press on the 'Press Here'.

I have created a YouTube Video showing how I put this card together.
It can be found here.

I hope I have inspired you to give Chibitronics LED Stickers a go.
If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to ask.

Until next time

Chibitronics - Hap Bee

 Hi Everyone,

Today I am sharing another light up card using the Chibitronics LED Stickers and Conductive Fabric Tape.

I always use the fabric tape as I find it easier to use, it is not as fragile.

For this card I have used a 'reed switch'. This works by using a magnet to open and close the on and off switch with in the 'reed'.

1. Create card front.

To create the card front, I have coloured the background using Distress Oxide Ink (Salty Ocean & Blueprint Sketch).

The images have been stamped onto X-Press It Blending Card and coloured with Copic Markers.  They have been fussy cut leaving a small white border.

2. Create Base and Circuit

I have created a battery holder so the battery is replaceable.  It can't be seen in these pics up the battery will slide out so it can be changed.

For this circuit I have used a 'reed switch'.  One of the bees will have a magnet attached behind it and when hovered over the reed switch the LED lights will turn on.

For this card I have used a '2025' battery as it is a little thicker and I wanted permanent connection to the negative and positive terminals.

3. Time to light up the card

To light this card you move the bee from the bottom left corner over the right hand flower.  You can even leave the bee on the flower and the flowers will be permanent lit up until the bee is removed.

 Hi Everyone,

For today's card I have used a new set of stamps from Paperie Ink.  These did take months to arrive but I was so excited when I saw that they were in my letterbox, honestly I thought they had gone missing as the shipping is still saying LA Airport.  So if you are waiting on something, don't lose hope.

I have also used a new white card stock for colouring from LOTV.  It is my first time using this card and it was great.  Blended well, took many layers of colour, no bleeding.

Ingredients

Stamp Set:  Hello Hummingbirds

Medium:  Copic Markers

(B02, B01, B00, B000, BG15, BG13, BG32, BG11, Y13, Y11, YG00, R20, RV19, RV17, RV55, BV04, BV13, BV02, B28, B26, FB2)

Sentiment:  Included in stamp set

Background: MFT Cloud Stencil Distress Oxide Ink (Salty Ocean), Catherine Pooler Ink (Lime Rickey)

Card Stock:  LOTV Super Smooth White Card, Neenah Desert Storm

Ink:  Ink on 3 Blackout

Other:  Sakura Gelly Roll, Liquid Pixie Dust, Glossy Accents
