You're Koalafied

Hi Everyone,

As tempted as I am to buy some nice 'slimline card' dies I have refrained.  Only because they are made for the American sized card stock not the Australian A4.

So I have cut some of my A4 card down to a size I am happy with. 18.5 x 9.5cm and have them set aside for 'Slimline' Cards.  This way I am also not limited to design.  Overall my bank account is happy and I have any design I want....win win

I have made one today and used another window die I have in my stash for the cutouts.

Method

• Card Base:  14 x 10cm Black Card.
• From white card, cut 'Stacked Squares' and adhere to base card.
• Stamp 'Daisy Bouquet' onto X-Press It Blending Card and colour with Copic Markers.  Cut using die (if you have it, otherwise use scissors and leave a small white border).  Adhere to card using foam tape.
• Add dots to petals of flowers using Sakura Gelly Roll Pen.
• Apply Glossy Accents and Clear Micro Beads to the centres of the flowers.  Allow to Dry.

Best Bugs

Hi Everyone,

I have decided to try the slim cards and it wasn't too bad.  Honestly having the extra length was a little challenging for me but sometimes you just need to step out of that comfort zone.

It was fun to try something new.  I will definitely be doing more of these.

My dimensions for this card are a little different to others but I am happy with it.  It is 18.5 x 9.5cm.

For this card I have used a stamp set from Create a Smile Stamps.

I have also used the new black ink pad from Paper Rose and it is amazing.  It stamps a clear black image, doesn't feather and works really well with copics.  Also when cleaning the stamps, it leaves no marks.  Definitely will be my 'go to' ink. My only wish is that it comes in a bigger pad but that is just me.  I will still use this ink no matter what. (Link below)

Method

• Base Card:  Cut largest A6 Stitched Rectangle from White Card.  Set aside.
• Stamp 'Daisy Bouquet' onto X-Press It Blending Card.  Colour with Copic Markers.  Apply Gelly Roll to image.  
• Using the largest 'Stitched Circle, cut coloured image.  Adhere to card base using foam tape.
• Cut the layered 'Congrats' from vellum and adhere to card base.
• Cut 'Congrats' from X-Press It Blending Card and colour with Copic Markers.  Apply Liquid Pixie Dust.  Allow to dry and adhere to card.
